This Plot/Storyline is required for all members to read and understand upon joining the site. This is the current setting for WVRP. There is an extended history available for anyone to read, as we are a 9 year old site and have much in the way of history. Because of the extensive reading material of the overall plot, we will not require members to read it to RP but it is suggested at some point it is scanned over.
It has been 15 years since the decline of society and just after Immortals learned to live in harmony with Humans. It began with dimensional rifts opening throughout the world and engulfing reality as we knew it. The earth reshaped itself, becoming a gruesome combination of our realm and the new. Many cities had fallen under this drastic change, their walls crumbling into nothing but ruins.
In the earlier years of the changes, Angels came forth. Humanoid Creatures from the converging realm, Angels are fierce warriors with no intent other than to conquer. Their troublesome ways caused many issues for the survivors of the realm shifts, creating battles and confrontations. 5 years later, after a last effort, a war broke out. Within that war, action was taken and a bomb detonated to cease all rifts from opening anymore.
The Angels, no longer having access to their resources of expansion, were defeated. Overtime the surviving Angels, no longer being seen as a threat, were integrated into what civilizations remained. Those very civilizations regrouped and reformed their cities as well as a semblance of society. All races regrouped and have regained what they lost.
But as the cities continue to grow and expand, so do the Immortal races. Leaders are rising in unexpected ways. The Vampires that had been weak for so long now rise and plot, unable to fully forgive the Werewolves for the age old grudge they once fought over years ago before the realm shifts. They also are incapable of forgetting that Angels once kept them as slaves. Angels do not allow themselves to be thought of as weak and also plan against those who overcame them.
Even as every city begins to show promise at prospering once more, these feuds challenge everything that has been worked for.
Who are you? An angel with an agenda to conquer? A vampire with an ageless grudge? A werewolf all too eager to challenge any and all blood suckers? Or a human caught in the crossfire?
