He smiled, why did he always have to fuckin smile. Tabbatha smiled too but this was still beginning to get on her nerves. You like it Precious why even bother to hide it. The voice spoke taunting her. The vampress tried to ignore it. Never before has anyone treated you like this. Again she tired to ignore. This wasn’t the time for the talk that her mind was trying to give her. Yes Abby knew about her own past and the fact that the only time she had been close to someone he had done it simply to change her, of course he then kept her along but Abby had her own idea as to why. Having all that time to think about it and now with having turned her own and abandoned her this was the way her brain ticked on by. You know all you have to do is react in someway to him. He doesn’t mean it just like everyone else. A hiss escaped her lips and she slightly struggled against his hold while her claws dug into the flesh on his back again.
Cold lips pressed against her own in her struggle and she froze. He was kissing her again, sure he was doing it just because he could probably tell it was throwing her for a loop but part of her was really beginning to not like this game and she wanted to just stab him. He held it longer this time and she could swear Abby felt herself react, almost like returning the kiss, this was not cool. He released the kiss and then her, of course with that normal ever present smirk of his. Frozen for a couple of seconds while she realized she was free the vampress thought of what to do. Her left hand twitched to go to her knife, the one that was on her thigh since the corset made putting it down her spine difficult. When a chuckle escaped his lips she thought it was to her and spinning on him her hand went to his throat, not grabbing but oh so close her claws scraping against the cold flesh. His staff was a cane again but that didn’t really register in her mind. Don’t kill him Doll, he may be your only hope. Yes her plan, but no, she wouldn’t trust him with the plan just yet.
He spoke again, not at all seeming to see her as a threat. Sure most women would have slapped him, far too cliché for her tastes. When he spoke of it being the tip of the iceberg of things her mind laughed and she cursed it. Oh how she wished that voice would go away leaving her to her business, but so long as Tabbatha didn’t want it there, there it would remain. Donovan brought up the pack of humans. Yes Abby knew about them had even been by the place without going in a couple of times. The question was, did she want to tell him? Of course not but the consequences of not telling him could in turn be bad. Still with her hand at his throat she looked into his dead eyes with her own, the smile not present on her face. “Yes I know of the humans.” She said simply while that voice cackled again. “Their base is further into the city, a whole hive of them.”
The vampire stopped her words and studied him. If he wanted more of an answer he would need to ask the right questions. Then again Tabbatha bet there was more to him wanting them then just to feed. What that thing was she knew not. You could just be reading into it too much. The voice said with a snark tone to it. Abby growled low in her throat then shook her head. Now was not the time to let anyone realize she wasn’t right in her head, of course, anyone could see that as true just by looking at her. “And why would you want to do anything with poor little me?” Abby asked her voice sweet and a smile on her lips as a laugh escaped her lungs. No she didn’t actually want to know but this was just one of those things that she pulled at. No he didn’t really want her, this was all just a game.
