Romolus had just been wandering through the decrepit city that he had come to known so well. He had practically grown up with the city constantly in ruins, even before it was it was a regular infestation of the Vampire night life he had heard. He looked up at the sky, noticing the light hue of purple the sky was turning, the sun was setting and he knew soon he'd have to be on his guard again. He smiled however, more often than not he found a new comrade than a new enemy, and he hoped tonight would be no different.
He stepped onto the sand, his industrial steel-toed boots made the task more laborious than it ought to be, even for him. Finding a spot in the middle of the beach or no particular specialty he stopped and slowly lowered himself onto the sand. Feeling the sand move out of the way as his faded jeans sunk into it, it ought to he was six foot and weighed nearly 190 pounds. He prided himself on the fact that it was mostly muscle, some people would say it was one of his vice's, his knack for staying in shape. It certainly did not help his slight ego.
He placed his hands behind himself, anchoring himself down into the sand, getting comfortable. His holsters hung loose at his side over his plain black wife-beater. He chuckled to himself briefly at the thought that at one point they used to weigh him down. But now as he half closed his eyes behind his midnight black hair, he was calmed and rather enjoying the sunset. It was one of the few things the vampire's could not ruin. They could even manage to ruin sunrises's if they were foolish enough to stay out so long.
But sunsets? Not one yet. And damn glad of that fact, just as the sun dipped behind the rocking currents of the ocean he closed his eyes, listening to the constant beating of the waves upon the shore. As vulnerable as he was sure he looked, he didn't care. He was more concerned that he might not be seen in the dark that was slipping over the beach at a steady pace now. He hoped he would meet someone interesting this night. Actually he hoped to meet anyone at all. Even a bloodsucker might liven up his unusually droll nights.
He turned his focus from the waves to the ocean to the more violent sounds of the city. He could hardly bear it, the bloodsuckers running loose without so much as a leader. He was proud to be a part of a bigger meaning, a pack. Problem was, he had not exactly found said pack yet. He tried not to let the concern show on his face, even with no one around he kept up appearances at least.
