((It has been a single week since Greggory Smith was found and rescued by the city’s elite swat team. Where investigators had blocked off the crime scene and where Mr. Smith had given so many speeches past, the podium still stands and the yellow tape removed. Greggory stands behind the podium, slightly arched and favoring his right leg. Several bodyguards line behind him and more off to the sides to hold the forming crowd back. Cameras are rolling and flashing, the news teams eager to get their story. It is barely dusk, enough that no sunlight shall interfere with this speech.))
“Ladies and Gentlemen of this grand city. I stand before you today in pain and anguish. I also face regret.” His voice sounds almost shaky and nervous. His eyes wander over the crowd, dismay reflecting out of them. “Most of you are probably wondering how I am recovering. This speech is to tell you of my findings, not be about my health. But I will assure you, I am well now and healing remarkably.” He takes a long pause and grips the sides of the podium with both hands. All the while, he has not looked down to read his words off of a paper, but instead, they come from his mind. “The regret I face, is of having to share such terrible news with all of you.”
“I had hoped suspicions would not be so true and cruel as they seemed, but, they have proven correct. Several weeks ago that I was abducted while in front of my apartment. My abductees made well not to share their identities with me for some time.” Now Greggory takes a longer pause and looked down to his podium, staring at the wooden surface. The one thing obvious about him was that he was troubled.. Greggory looks back up to face the people. “My captors had be concealed within the basement of a warehouse in the Industrial Park and for weeks, I was brutally beaten and experimented on. For what, I cannot say for certain. But it is not this that troubles me so. What troubles me is that in fact, it had been the werewolf kind in control of my situation.”
A gasp escapes the crowd and several people cover their mouths. Other shake their head in disbelief. “Please, I ask that you do not fear. We are taking investigation under way to discover who specifically was behind this all. I truly do wish for their to continue to be peace, but in order to do so, we must find these fugitives sooner rather than later. I aim to try and find out if anyone else is responsible other than our werewolf counterparts, but at this time, it does not seem likely. Remember fellow citizens, peace is the key and we will reach it once our obstacles are removed.” With that, Greggory began taking questions from the closest new teams. The people surrounding the area were in uproar and discussion over the matter within seconds.
