History: The history of Vincent is a long one, began almost exactly four centuries ago, in a remote part of Ireland. His family name, Mordrin, was known as a noble family. They were mainly merchants, and successful ones at that. They owned a castle built by earlier ancestors of the Mordrin family. Vincent’s parents were named Markus and Mordelaine. They were nobles, and thus they went to many noble parties. Vincent loved politics from an early age, and eagerly attended balls and parties with his parents. When at the parties, he would mingle with the party-goers, and make light conversation about current happenings.
At one of these parties, he met a boy by the name of Jacques. This boy was the same age as himself, 12. They immediately took a liking to each other and seeked each other out at future parties. He learned that Jacques, or Jac as he called him, was of a noble family from France. They had a mansion down in Ireland, and usually spent the summer there, as it was slightly cooler in Ireland. One night, Jac decided to introduce young Vincent to his parents. It went very smoothly, and they accepted him as one of their own. Vincent decided to introduce the French nobles to his own family. They talked for the remainder of the party, and allowed Vincent to stay the rest of the summer at their mansion.
As the summer progressed, Vince and Jac became best friends, and the family began to accept him like a second son. Vince genuinely liked his time at the mansion, and loathed leaving at the end of the summer.
On the last night of his stay at the French family’s mansion, Jac’s parents came to Vince and told him their family’s secret. It was by request of Jac, and the parents agreed that Vince was trustworthy to keep their secret safe. They told him that they were vampires, and were turned on their twenty-first birthday. It was tradition, and had been for centuries. They offered Vince the chance to join Jac in becoming a vampire, and Vince heartedly accepted. They then told him that he would become immortal, and then proceeded to tell him the advantages and weaknesses of becoming a vampire. After hearing the whole speech, Vince stood with his decision to become a vampire, and would be at the mansion on his twenty-first birthday.
As the years progressed, Vince matured and realized that he might have been a little hasty in accepting the offer to become a vampire. He didn’t want to leave his family, and that was what he would have to sacrifice if he decided to become one of the immortal vampires. On his twenty-first birthday, Vince traveled to the mansion, and proceeded to tell them that he decided to decline the offer. He expected anger, but received none. They calmly accepted his decision, and asked him if he would like to spend his birthday with them. He accepted, and later that night they feasted, and then showed Vince to his room. Vince was very tired after the feast and went to sleep immediately. As he slept, the parents quietly snuck into his room as no mortal could, and sat beside his bed. They watched him sleep for a short while, and then decided that they would go through with the turning. They woke Vince, and told him that he was going to become a vampire, whether by choice or by force. Having no choice, Vince agreed to their demands, and so the father came and sat next to him. “This won’t hurt very much at all.” He then proceeded to stick his fangs into Vincent’s neck and sucked a small portion of blood from it. Then, he pulled out a knife and sliced open his wrist. He put the wrist over Vincent’s mouth, and Vincent drank. After a few seconds, the parents moved away from the bed and left the room without a word. Vince was dead asleep before they were halfway down the hallway.
He woke three days later in the same bed he fell asleep in. The whole family was gathered around his bed, and when Vince finally opened his eyes, they together said, “Welcome to immortality.” Vince quickly got up and dressed, then packed his bags to return home. When he was finished, he met the family down in the main hall. They told him he wouldn’t be able to leave the mansion until nightfall, and even then they wouldn’t let him have the chance to reveal their secret. “You must stay with us forever, or you will be killed.” Vince grew angry at this and said, “I am returning home, and you are not going to stop me. I already promised I wouldn’t reveal your family’s secret to anybody.” As he turned to leave, Jac attacked him from behind, and tackled him to the floor. The two wrestled around on the floor for a few minutes and then Jac pulled out a knife and sliced at Vincent’s neck. Vincent dodged, grabbed Jac’s hand, and twisted so the knife would fly free. He then kicked Jac in the stomach and grabbed the knife while his friend was recovering. As Jac was getting up, Vincent grabbed his hair, pulled his head back, and sliced a deep gash in Jac’s throat. He sliced again, and the head came completely off. Holding the bloody head of his former friend, he turned at looked at the parents. “You had my own friend attempt to kill me? Look what you have made me do!” The parents just stood in shock at what he had done, and while they were standing there looking at their late son’s severed head, Vince turned around and ran out the door, grabbed his horse, and rode to his house. When he arrived at his home, the castle stood deserted. He rushed inside, and ran up to his parent’s rooms. He found them both dead in their bed with their throats slit neatly. Vince blinked tears out of his eyes as he fled the castle grounds.
As the centuries wore on, Vincent became wiser and stronger. He learned to never completely trust anyone except himself. He also learned to control his thirst for blood, and promised himself that he would only drink the blood of animals or enemies for survival. He fought in both of the wars, and survived many attempts on his life. The path of his life taught him the skills he needed to survive and thrive. He eventually made his way over the seas to New York City, where he was promised acceptance. What he found when he arrived was a ruined city with nobody to be seen. He learned that the angels were enslaving the vampire race, and decided he was going to fight them.
-Extras-
Personality: Vincent is a nobleman. He acts as he sees proper for one his age. He takes everything into consideration, and finds the best path to take before rushing into something. He is wise and knowledgeable. He keeps his anger under tight rein, and only the most annoying of people can manage to make him angry. Living for four centuries taught him patience and cunning. He isn’t afraid to speak his mind, and he demands respect from anyone younger than him, especially humans. He has a twisted and morbid sense of humor, as do many vampires. He is a schemer, and loves to manipulate others to do his will. His greatest interest is politics, and he is quite good at them.
(I changed the name as well, as it sounded more vampiric. If you want me to change it back, just ask and I will. If it is okay, can you change the subject name to Vincent Mordrin? Thank you!)
