“Mother. Fucking. Rain. Go. The. Hell. Away!” shouting the last word the snake curled up under a tree very tempted to shift to her snake form and dig herself a little hole into the ground. Then again having a snake that is nearly ten feet long just appear from underground was sure to give someone a heart attack. Lights forked the sky and Angelis shut her eyes the brightness piercing through their sensitivity. It had started out such a good night too, clear sky and everything. The damned freak storms were beginning to wear on the desert snake. She wanted her steaming days that she couldn’t even break a sweat in. Sinking against the bark of the tree as much as she could the beast sighed, just her luck to decide to go for a run and get caught out without even her heavy coat and just the hoodie. She had thought she would get heated enough working out to be alright but that was apparently a mistake.
Thunder clapped and lightning fired again this time closer. The thunder wasn’t as loud though with her werebeast hearing. Snakes weren’t the best at hearing things. No she wasn’t fully deaf but sometimes she thought it would be better. When the thunder wasn’t slamming in the roar of the waterfall could be heard, the waterfall that came out of the damn clouds. That was just odd in and of itself not even including the freaky storms. Ange knew that it was becoming winter slowly, but that didn’t mean she would like it. When she had been first changing she recalled asking for extra heaters when the snows had hit but with the way the world was she was betting she would just take a shit load of extra blankets since heaters would be sparce if any.
A tongue slipped from between pink lips, not a normal tongue, a forked tongue. Opening her mouth in a yawn the fangs folded down then back up. Opening her eyes again recovering from the sudden jolt of tiredness the violet blue scanned the area. She didn’t see anything, then again, that didn’t matter much. When it came to night vision very few could match her. Being meant to travel underground in dark places made her night vision very good, so not seeing anyone meant no one was there. Curling up into a ball more her tongue flicked out again. A scent wafted into her mouth and her head shot up. Someone was around, a walking dead someone. Looking around in the direction she hadn’t looked before she saw a shadow moving. “Hello?” she said just as her body started to shiver. Shit this was so not going to be a fun night.
