The Convenience store was an utter mess. The floor was littered with bags, bottles, cigarette boxes, glass and the angels only knew what else. All the windows were broken, the cash register looked like someone turned it into a frag grenade, pieces of plastic, the buttons, and the coins littered the floor. A corpse sat in the back of the staff hallway, just inside view. Who or what it was, was impossible to tell. The sign that would've told you what the store's name was, had been torn down and destroyed.
Trip stopped in front of the store, the destruction sickened her. It was such a waste. She tried to walk into the building, but the floor was so thickly coated in trash she couldn't step anywhere without risking crushing something. She started shuffling her feet, pushing the garbage out of her way.
Trip searched through the ransacked Convenience store. She knew what she wanted, but the mess made it hard to find. She tried looking through the items on the floor, but it was practically a sea of garbage. Finally giving up on just looking through the litter, she ripped one of the broken refrigerators out of the wall, and put it on its back. Then, using it like a giant trashcan, started picking through the trash. Before the first refrigerator had much of anything in it, she ripped a second one out and put it next to the first. She started putting things that might be useful, what little food, drinks, or items that were still intact in the second refrigerator.
She felt several presences nearby, the vibrations traveling through her feet into her legs. She ignored them and kept working, they felt pretty far away. After about an hour, she had cleared a sixth of the room. The first refrigerator was almost full, but the second, recyclable, refrigerator was maybe a fifth full. She still hadn't found what she came for either.
Suddenly, she felt a weird vibration. For some reason, it wasn't coming to her clear. Trip put a hand down to try to figure out what were and how far the vibration was from her. She wrinkled her brow when she realized it was a lot closer then she had thought. When the vibration was close enough that she knew whoever it was could hear her, she called out "Who'z there. Come out."
