As the blacksmith fell through the door of moonlight, she wondered how she had gotten into this. It was as if she had taken a step to far off a stair case and was falling to the ground. It only felt like a few minutes, but that was a incredibly unreliable statement. She was well aware how time played tricks on you. Slowing while bored, and speeding up when you are busy or need the extra moments of the day. The small angel decided to not worry about it and just wait. She braced herself for touchdown and smiled to the light that engulfed her, closing her eyes under the vast blast of the light.
Finally after what felt like hours, she hit the ground, feeling what seemed like stone shatter under the weight of her, her armor and her partner Broken Blade. Her head lifted slowly, eyes opening with a bright smile on her face as right hand snapped to the hilt of her weapon. Her left shot towards the metal seal on her back. Since she was too short to pull it out of a sheath, she was forced to lock it onto her back and detach it from there when she needed it. Metal clad hands snatched the latch and popped the lock, causing the weight of the weapon to fall full on the right arm of the girl. Even as strong as she was, it was not a comfortable scenario.
Her left arm made its way over to the hilt as well as she surveyed her surroundings. Her eyes searched around, taking note of the strange world. Buildings made out of what seemed to be bricks like the ones used to make fortresses, but held together by stone as well. Curious. The floor was also pure stone, no way it could be natural. The brick buildings seemed abandoned, indications of war filled the area. Her smile brightened slightly realizing she had fallen into a possible warzone, which meant more angels were most likely here doing their worst.
She was glad that she was wearing her full war outfit upon coming here. The concept of wandering around looking for other angels in her light armor was not appealing. Not that she was very comfortable in the armor either. As much as she liked it, combined with Broken Blade, this shit is heavy. One layer of plate armor, one layer of ring mail, and the bottom layer of reinforced leather. The full set made her tough as hell but slow as hell as well. She wouldn’t recommend it to angels of other clans. One because she wasn’t sure if they could wear all of it and fight efficiently. And Secondly because the gear was tiring to wear. Her own body was clad with it because she was slow as it was. To much raw power, not enough speed sadly.
Her focus shifted back to the world around her. A few aura’s moved around her, aura’s unlike anything she had ever met. Her feet stayed planted in the ground, knowing she couldn’t hope to catch any of them, she could only hope they would come to her. Her attention snapped towards the aura nearest to her. It shot towards her and she heard a pitiful scream as he rushed towards her.
Her eyes slanted in contrast with her smile, as she snapped to react to the fast son of a bitch. Her weapon was slowly and fluidly moved to the right side of her body, then shifting her body so that the blade was behind her and she was facing her assailant. She worked quietly, switching the blade so that it was parallel with the ground. Then when he was entering her range, she swung Broken Blade in a savage swing, switching the lock on the weapon releasing the chain. The blade looked as if it shattered as she swung it. The horizontal movement and extension of the blade seemed to catch the being off guard as his eyes widened. He attempted to jump out of the way, but was denied by a rather pretty black plate of metal that ripped through his side, crushing his internals. Having being hit by the second segment from the top, the man was picked up and dragged along with Broken Blade’s teeth, and was freed from its bite as it hammered him into a nearby wall. The stone wall shattered and collapsed from the force of Broken Blade. His corpse fell into two halves still being hammered by falling bricks, many visible broken bones revealed themselves on what remained of his chest. His legs sat several paces away, bleeding profusely.
She detached the back part of the hilt, pulling hard on it, retracting the chain. Then locking the chain for a moment, she brought her hand up to the closest piece and pulling the rest of the chain through. There was too much length in the chain for her to pull back on one attempt after all. The segments gave an easily audible click as each crashed into place. Quickly winding the chain inside the back end of the hilt, she reattached the piece, reforming her weapon.
Her ever present grin became slightly more cheery as she wiped the few specks of blood off her face. “For a hostile bastard, your surprisingly fragile. Toys should last longer then one round.” The red flower pattern in her hair was easily visible as she scanned her surroundings again, stopping on a passage between the nearby buildings. “Come out, I know you are there. I promise to be gentle if you cooperate.” A bright smile still upon her face as she waited for who she hoped would explain things to her to reveal itself.
