This was her second visit to this place. Today she sat there on a rock looking at the spot where the pond and falls met. She hadn’t been here since that day and in all truth she didn’t know what had brought her here today. It was a shitty place to be with the dark clouds that lay in the sky just overhead. Had been raining a lot as of late, made her not want to leave her little store she had picked as hers in the mall. She had left the department store to Kigai, he had scent marked it already and she hadn’t felt like being around it. In fact the place she had selected was on the upper level just down the hall. That was how she had managed to run into the group of three when she had been trying to go and get some sleep. Of course then she had run into those wolves she had insulted before but thankfully things hadn’t turned out too bad. Granted Jerome had indeed needed to be there or she was pretty sure she would be kibble right about now.
Jessi sighed and cleared her thoughts focusing on her breathing. It was something that Ralph had taught her when she was thinking thoughts that she didn’t want to think. And Kigai, though they had agreed to be friends, was still a topic she wasn’t fully ready to think about. Of course that was what she got for coming here. It also reminded her of that man that had brought her wolf out, coaxed it with howl of power, Stramnnar, Beya’s mate. Everything just seemed to lead from one memory to another. She remembered little Alaric all wrapped up in a blanket in his mother’s arms. He was an adorable little thing and looked just like both of his parents blood. He would be strong that was for sure and it made Jessi almost envy Beya for the gift her mate had given her.
Of course back to the thought of mate led her back to Kigai. A growl escaped her throat. She was really getting tired of him always popping up. Standing up on her rock she stripped down to nothing and left the clothing there. If it got a little wet from the mist oh well she was betting once the rain started she would get soaked anyways. Taking a breath the she wolf did a perfect dive out into the water. Going deeper until her lungs burned for the need of oxygen making her finally go above the surface again. Taking a deep lung full of clean crisp air Jessi floated there in the cold water. The cold didn’t even matter, not right now with the sun high in the sky behind the clouds. Finally deciding she had spent enough time she swam back to her clothes and pulled herself out of the water onto the rock next to her previous one.
Her clothes weren’t too wet, deffinantly drier than her body. Slowly putting the underclothes on she had half a mind to let her hair dry before putting her shirt on. Of course that meant she could still put her jeans back on. Standing up she picked up the article of clothing along with her and slid one leg in at a time until she pulled it over her hips and fastened the denim in place. Sighing she sat back down and watched the water fall from the sky out of no where. It really was a mysterious place to be. Eerie just like that damned playground she loved doing acrobatics through so much. That reminded her that she hadn’t gone back to it in a while and made a mental note to do that. She could use some agility training, it would also help to keep her mind clear. That was one thing that had to be focused on or she risked hurting herself a little more then she was comfortable with.
Rolling backwards her shoulders collided with the edge of the rock and she tucked her head in and kept rolling until she was flat on her back in the grass. It was comfy there and so she decided to close her eyes instead of staring at those damned clouds. “Girl get a life.” She said her southern accent strong as she chastised herself. This of course just made her laugh as her wet hair fanned out in the grass around her. Her emerald jade eyes opened again and she thought to grab her shirt but she was fully clothed if someone mysteriously showed up. Granted with how this world went it wouldn’t surprise her if someone did. After all, it was often that she found people when she least expected. Closing her eyes again she focused to the sounds around her. All she could hear was the roar of the falls just a few feet away. Granted it actually wasn’t all that loud, the sound just seemed magnified to her sensitive ears. A twitch of the nose looking for scents and the wind that blew through the trees carried nothing. For now she was indeed alone.
