SO CRY THREE TEARS FOR ME
WHEN IT'S ALL GONE
SING ME THIS SONG

It all happened so fast.
Sunlight and sand spiraled about wildly. Lights, shapes and sound fused together until the senses were overwhelmed. No longer were feet firmly upon the ground, air freely flowing to the lungs, or eyes able to function. Mind overwhelmed, it could do nothing but shut down until the experience was over.

[/font]A loud thud signaled the presence of something foreign, something that was not there a moment earlier, crashing upon the hard surface of a tombstone. The female gasped in both shock and pain, that is, the shock of the pain that struck her stomach. Lying upon the oddly cold earth covering her stomach, Kiyomori's mind slowly began to grasp that something was afoul.
The ground was firmer than she last remembered. The air reeked of many putrid scents, as though each breath was mildly toxic. Sunlight the illuminated every inch of the world was replaced by shallow darkness, the sun now barely visible behind clouds. Distant cries of pain could be discerned in the distance, as well as the clashing of metal.
Last she remembered, Kiyomori was continuing one of the many patrols to ascertain the whereabouts of their missing kin. With the absence of Omarion, Kiyomori was thrust forward as the head of many operations that they instead shared. Combined with leading search parties, times had become stressful. And this was only the side of things that were apparent to those around her. Underneath it all, the disappearance of Omarion troubled her, puzzled her.
And that was before Zerek was thrown into the mix.
Needless to say the disappearance of the man, so close to their momentous battle was more than unsettling. Terribly uncharacteristic of Omarion, the sudden disapperane. Zerek's ferocity was spared upon no-one from that point forward, clearly angered by the loss. Endless searches were conducted, and all possible alternatives investigated.
Their searches were to no avail. No missing person was found, not even a trace of them left behind. The concern grew to epic proportions when not only people, but land began to disappear. Obvious panic broke out as Namaesti even disappeared. No logic nor reason could explain these actions. As the population slowly declined, fear settled into the back of everyone's minds. Waiting to be the next victim, stolen away into an unknown oblivion.
At least this place was not unholy abyss some had predicted. It wasn't much like anything predicted actually. Gloomy. Cryptic. Ominous. That may have something to do from landing in what seemed to be a graveyard, but never the less, the feel was there. Green eyes blinked slowly, staring upwards from the ground. Dark brown hair lay in a mess, strewn across her face and earth, entangling small amounts of dirt and leaves. There were certainly fewer stars here.
Low snarls brought the mind of Kiyomori back to its sharp mental state. Perhaps she had barged in on someone's residence, or simply startled someone. Either way, she was not going to tolerate someone hissing at her like that. Carefully she rose, arms un-clipping the scythe from her back. Setting it across her shoulders, Alice began to take in her foe, or as it turned out, foes.
Well over two dozen beings stood around Kiyomori, forming a very loose circle. Thick hair covered their bodies, in varying colors of the darker scale. Muscular bodies and snapping jaws a clear indication that these things had the capabilities to really harm. Attacking in numbers? How shameful, where was their sense of honor?
This left Kiyomori reluctant to make the first move. It was never a smart idea to be the first to expose yourself when so heavily outnumbered. Kiyomori didn’t have to wait long though. The largest individual before her, black haired, couldn’t take it any longer. A large fist swung to its side, knocking one of its kin away from what it assumed was its own kill. Then it began to lunge forward, the crackling of leaves underneath the only sound it made as it sprinted. Already these actions were telling Kiyomori volumes about their kind. They acted upon impulse rather than reason. Did not seem to work well together, once again being driven by their own ferocious desires. Feral in both appearance and action. This was a trait Kiyomori could easily exploit, and planned to.
Dark wings that faded to a faint blue unfurled in a brilliant display of power. Bright green eyes watched the muscular beast hurdled towards herself. Only moments before its powerful arms would collide with her armor, Kiyomori began to work her grace. Her find leg kicked upward as she spun backwards, performing a mid-air roll. The womans armoured back made contact with the hair of her attacker, which allowed her to roll right over the beast. As this maneuver was performed, the scythe had slid into one hand, allowing it to swing in a wide arc, vertically, in the air. As feet came upon the earth, so too did the scythe crash down upon upon another foe, gravity pulling down the overweight polearm. The creature let out a small cry of pain before it was overcome, crumpling to the floor in a mess of blood. Without looking back a heel lifted upwards once more, only this time it dug into the rough fur of the dark creature, knocking it further away.
Kiyomori now found herself in a situation similar to the previous, surrounded by irritated beasts, minus one. It didn’t matter though. Their weakness was exposed, her cunning, battle-driven mind performing its magic. Whether it took minutes or hours, Kiyomori would wither them down to nothing, leave their bodies for the vultures, and walk away victorious as per always. The grin of victory already worn, Kiyomori’s eyes flitted between each of her foes, awaiting the next to expose itself to her blade.
