Walking through the streets lost within the deep crevasses of her own mind. Her thoughts keeping her eyes clouded as her feet moved in a rhythmic pattern along the snow drenched road. It had been fresh powder until her boot prints had invaded on the white fluff making it show her travelings. She had been down this road once before walking in the same manner as she was at this very instant. The beasts violet blue eyes cleared with a blink but her eyes didn’t lift and her hands didn’t move from her pockets on her jacket. As much as Angelis hated the snow she was tired of being cooped up in the base with the others. Everyone else had gone out when the first snow had come and the sunbeam snake had busied herself about the base making up excuses why not to go out into the climate that the beast she was turned into despised more then anything. But no more did she keep herself trapped in the metal building. But then again, trapped within her own thoughts and mind were much harder to get away from. She couldn’t just leave to escape them like she had the building she had trapped herself in. A sigh left the creature’s pink pale lips and fogged in front of her before dissipating on the wind. Another blink cleared her eyes again but still she kept walking in his same leisurely fashion as before. There was no rush to go anywhere after all.
Turning a corner she went the opposite way as the first time she had traveled this road. She hadn’t meant to take the same path more then once but that was the way her body had taken her. Her low hearing picked up the sound of her feet crunching in the snow but it didn’t register that it was her own. Mechanical muscles lifted her head to make her look around but as she stopped moving so did the sound. Another sigh, another puff of fog that wisped away as a small breeze traveled down the road and took the beast’s waist length auburn hair into the sky as well. Ignoring the loose strands around her body she kept walking down the road until she came to another corner and turned the opposite way as before making sure to not make a box this time as she had the time before making her retrace her steps. Eyes glassed over again as she walked and went back to her thoughts. Their race was shrinking and they had no form of leadership like the others. With how small their kind were though that was no surprise to her. Granted many had come to her about it and each time she refused them, not wanting to take on the roll of their entire existence. Perhaps she would approach the wolves with an idea of protection like the humans had. Granted no, the beasts didn’t have as much to offer as the humans did but they were still combatable and they were forces to be reckoned with just as much as the other shifters. The only difference between the two really was the way the beast affected the human body. That and the werebeasts were the result of science.
Down the road the beast went while lost in her thoughts. Part of her was sure the wolves would turn her down if she approached them. After all, she was not the leader of the beasts, there was no order to the creatures that science had made grace this world with their unnatural presence. Another sigh and another puff of smoke in front of her pale complexion that just made her seem more white then she really was. Angelis was at a loss as to what to do. Perhaps leadership was the first step. But wasn’t there anyone besides herself that could be elected for such a task? She didn’t know the answer to this, surely there was though. There were plenty of beasts in the city now. No not all of them lived at the base with her and the others, perhaps if a meeting was called then they would come, perhaps not. Lifting her head again the desert creature spotted a place to sit. It was just a snow covered bench but the top of it was not touched by the wet cold substance. Walking over she stepped up and sat down staring now at her booted feet on the seat area of the bench on the road. There must have been a shop near here at one point for the bench to be there. Angelis couldn’t think of another reason for it to be there. Granted she hadn’t been in this city when it had lived and prospered above the others around it. The bustling streets and the crowded stores of the people that lived here before the wreckage of war was able to touch them and drag them down into the pits of hell where it sat now.
The beast began to wonder what the point to everything was now. The angels had come and taken one of the stronger powers in the city, destroying them from the top down and there was no doubt that they would go for another species next. The beasts would be the best bet with them being the weaker of the ones in the city. And they were a curious sort of breed that no doubt the angels didn’t understand anymore then they did the others. But since they were created through the minds and science of the humans perhaps they would go for the non immortals first and then make their way to the ones that the mortals had created. Either way, Ang was not ready for this to happen. She was not willing to accept her friends falling to the hands of the warrior race that had invaded their lands. Hissing her tongue sliding out from between her lips the forks picked up no scents around her just as it tasted the cold of the air. Like the tongue from her creature that she was made to willingly she had the fangs that folded down from the top of her mouth. She was not venomous though, a constrictor, that’s what her creature snake was. The rainbow like scales that went down her spine where her other sign besides her eyes that for the first time in a long while were uncovered in the sunlight that as up at high noon. Her mind was made up. She would go to the wolves. No she was no leader to the beasts but she was not ready to see them hanged for their lack of leadership. Stepping down from the bench she started back up the way she had came. No she didn’t know what she would say, she had time to plan it as she walked. But for now unless someone came up on her and started to talk, Angelis wouldn’t stop until she found a way to get the wolves on the winding streets.
