~Surrounded by knowledge, the fated meeting shall occur~
Jordan followed Jericho and his directions the best he could, until the Library, as he had called it on the way there, was in sight. It was funny when Jordan thought of it, not but hours ago were the two companions engaged in combat with one another. Sure, neither of them was set to kill the other in a blood lust induced rage, but you don't typically make friends with someone you just "crossed blade" with. Even so, here the two were, traveling together towards this media of information Jordan was anxious to go excavate. When Jordan thought back to their short travel to their destination, he couldn't help but smirk. They hadn't admitted it, but it was plainly obvious that both of them had gotten lost in those alleyways. Most of the time it took for them to get to the Library was spent trying to get out of the maze like alleyways. He made a mental note to never return to the alleyways again. They reached the worn down building, his eyes scanned it intensely. He was surprised how well it held up, or at least compared to these other buildings and structures. As they approached the building, he noticed something in the ruble beneath them. He bent down, picking up the black trench coat off the ground. It was a tattered thing, and it smelt horrible. Jordan would have to deal with it, though, as he needed to conceal his wings while inside. He doubted anyone was inside, but he wasn't one to take chances like that.
He slid the black apparel over what he wore already, which surprisingly covered his wings up nicely. As long as he kept them folded in as much as he could, he looked retained the slender look he always did. Walking to the side of the building, he noticed a large window over by the side of the building. It was bolted shut, lucky the glass was completely shattered, so getting in wasn't going to be a problem. He motioned towards Jericho to head for the window, taking the lead. He walked forward, a small throwing knife sliding down his sleeve and into his hand. He peered inside the dark interior, seeing if he could pick anything up. He did not see anything that showed signs of being alive, nor did his sense anything with his angelic birth powers. Slowly, he climbed through the window, keeping a subtle air about his movements, avoiding broken glass as much as he could. After he got inside, he walked forward a bit, scanning the poorly lit room. Most of the shelves were destroyed on the bottom floor, but a large staircase could be seen across the room.
Looking up at the top floor, he noticed majority of the books and shelves up their were in tact. Assuming this is where he could obtain the most information from, he scanned the rest of the area. Above them was an oculist, which possibly held a very intricate glass painting before. However, there was nothing now in the large opening in the ceiling. A strong beam of moonlight did show through it though, illuminating the area as if it were beckoning them towards it. It sounded like something an elaborate God would do to attract someones attention. "Look like we're headed up" Jordan said quietly to Jericho, heading towards the spiraling stair case.
((OOC: Pay no heed to my opening phrase in the post. I had the urge to do it, XP.))
