The young one shuffled her feet. This was just way too uncomfortable for her. Thankfully she hadn’t insulted the alpha, that would have been the worst fuckin idea in the world. She had looked away but when he spoke she looked at him again the wolfess just a bit nervous. But something seemed to have changed. His face, his eyes, they didn’t seem as hard as before. There was just a hint of something more, something Jessi didn’t know but that hardly stopped her. When he mentioned having to apologize to the other wolves she winced. Yes the girl had known that would have to happen but that didn’t mean she wanted to. They would no doubt want to hurt her if she did it all alone. Eyes fell to the floor for an instant before she lifted them to his silver ones again not backing down, no Jessi wasn’t one to back down from a challenge. “Yes I’ll apologize to them too.” She said her voice a bit harder then it had been apologizing to him. But it wasn’t from any form of annoyance. Though she tried to hide it Jessi knew that in her eyes it showed the fear of what would happen if she met the three on her own. Perhaps having Kigai there would be a good idea. She wouldn’t ask that of Jerome, he had other things to worry about besides a pup like herself.
She whipped her head to the side breaking contact with him her arms crossing across her stomach. To her it was a defensive move, something she did when she felt something was wrong. She doubted anyone here knew her that well, hell her own mate didn’t, but if anyone guessed it she was betting it would be the black wolf next to her. He seemed to notice everything. Gripping her sides harder she thought back to what else he should be doing, like worrying about the other femmes around them. Duh she was hogging his time, not like her in the least, and she was more then willing to give him back to the others, still slightly scared of him. The talk with Beya the other week had helped her to understand him, just a hint, nothing that would help her here. A change of heart he called it. More like getting a brain on her part but she kept the thoughts to herself. The wolf in her mind snapped at her and Jessi’s eyes narrowed. She was done doing everything this wolf wanted her to do, it got her in trouble.
Turning her eyes to the other two she heard the question asked to Sasha by Raed and thought of her own answer. She didn’t have one of course. After all she was only here because she had to pick. Taking a step back away from the group the she wolf thought about going to find the men now, she didn’t have anything else to do after all. Taking another step her eyes went to the stairs then back to Jerome. “Do you know where I can find them?” she finally asked. Her voice not as strong from just a second ago. Nerves, she put it up to the nerves. “I mean after their patrol. I don’t want to distract them from what they are doing.” Her grip loosened a bit around her stomach and the wolf growled at her. She was really not in the mood for the bitchy attitude from the creature. It was rather old. She was too young to mouth off, that meant her inner beast as well. “Oh and of course probably knowing when they are done.” Jessi sighed and took another step back her body turning slightly. “I’ll just go wait by the doors for them.” Her hands slid down from around her to rest at her sides. This was better, for her to leave, it gave Jerome a chance to pay attention to the other two again.
