The dusky sun was setting somewhere outside the concrete building in which Raed had taken solace in for the past few hours. The young werewolf had been wandering around for some time now, looking for a mildly warm place to curl up and fall asleep in. It was to no avail, however, as she had yet to become used to the metal jungle natives called the city. An urge to wander back into the forests outside of Quebec overwhelmed the girl and she felt a shiver run down her thin spine, causing her to shake ever so slightly. A scoff seeped from her lips as she glared at a particularly barren store which happened to be in front of her. The only thing Raed hated more than dead nature was a lack of nature. Even as a werewolf now, she still felt a strong link to the natural world. You could practically smell herbs wafting off of her skin. 'You have to get the past out of your head...' she thought to herself, cursing the damned day that she had been turned.
It did not take long before the anger once again seeped out of her system and Raed once again began searching the mall. She had arrived only a few days ago and already she felt herself sinking into the step of things. A sparse few werewolves had noticed her though they had not said anything which was probably all for the better since Raed had no urge to talk to any of them. One thing she did notice, however, was how truly young she was compared to the majority of the wolves. What're the odds of that? It striked Raed as odd that she was practically alone in her age though it did not bother her, really. It was merely a fact, an observation, a number. Another thing she noticed was just how eager these people were to lead their meager arguements to fighting. Why waste your energy? Raed considered herself above that sort of useless violence.. But of course, we all have our flaws at times.
Raed found herself beside a large window on the second floor of the mall, staring out at the rubble and ruins of the city. What had New York looked like before all of this fighting had occurred? Curiosity overtook her though she did not know where to look for an answer. The library, perhaps? If there was even one left, of course. She cursed her young age and how much it had prevented her from visiting this place before it was in ruins. Rumors had come to her ears about the exact details of the first war though she was not quite sure whether to believe all of the details or not. A slight whisper of sound came to her ears and she immediately felt her back tense as she sensed someone coming closer to her..
