A slightly cool breeze passed as Erika entered the now empty park. It was around 6:30 P.M. She looked around and took in her surroundings. It was covered with many trees; their leaves beginning to turn different colors in the welcoming of fall. There was a crescent moon out. The light from it shone, making it easier for her to see. Erika walked to one of the old wooden seats, just next to a table that looked just as old. She loved coming here, it brought her such peace. Usually she would be caught up in trying to heal one of the many humans that she would come across. It was exhausting and stressful. She didn’t mind doing it though. The world is often so dark and cruel, so it only made sense that she would work to keep the life of the people that wandered this world in good condition. Life is an amazing thing, and it’s very tragic when you lose it.
She laid her head back and looked up into the sky. It was beginning to get dark. Another breeze came through, and in response she held her black jacket tight around her. She should known it would have been chilly. Especially at this hour; when the sun was setting and darkness began to cover the heavens. She wore a light green blouse and a comfy pare of jeans. Her light brown hair was let loose around her shoulders. The light from the moon shone from her blue eyes at a certain angle. She took in a deep breath and closed her eyes, as if to feel the serenity that lingered around her. It made her day, and a small smile lit her features.
