She raised an eyebrow as she looked at her surroundings. Honestly, she didn’t even know she was near the mall, mainly because she didn’t know WHERE she was exactly. Either way, she sighed. Miko was up ahead smelling along the rocks and rubble that laid waist around them. She felt like she had been walking for hours, but it really had only been 4. She was tired, cranky and she was sore from sleeping in odd contorted ways hidden within the rubble so no one can find her and Miko. She was standing on a pile of concrete which at one point had been nothing more then a lonely highway that had come down during the chaos. She slid down the side of the rubble until she was skipping down to the solid ground, the thud of her boots echoed around them as she had bent her knees in the hopes that she didn’t accidentally break a leg, again. Standing back up, she looked up towards the sky. The sun was coming up at this time, and even as she took in a few breaths and released them the fog of her own warm breath filled the front of her face. She could see the clouds, thickly collecting in the heavens. They were going to have to find some shelter soon, if it was snow, Miko’s paws was going to be to cold to travel seeing she been on them for so long without any real time to rest. Yuki had been rubbing them and her back legs to make sure they stayed in good conditions, but with her breed you never know.
Yuki raised her arms and stretched them above her head as she looked off to her side now, Miko was standing in front of a pile of rubble with her eyes up towards the empty top. Yuki watched as the fur on the back of her neck began to rise and bunch up, her tail lifted into a curve and Miko suddenly took on a defensive stance hunching down a bit as her lips curled back and her teeth became visible. The rumble of a growl slipped from her belly to her throat and out into the open as Yuki suddenly felt a wind blow against her, bringing her a chill to a shiver. At first, she saw nothing there, making her wonder what Miko saw and she didn’t, until she watched the disfigured hand of something pulling them to the top. Yuki’s lips parted a moment, as it came to full view, crawling on its belly as its disfigured face looked at her. Yuki was very still, her mind falling blank to what she saw. She had come across many things, and a few outsiders before but this one was just worse then the others. It seemed that the more she traveled, the nastier they looked and the harder it was to simply focus on anything other then there blistered face covered with sores that were still oozing puss as if someone on the inside was pumping it out of there system. Yuki made a face of disgust, as if her empty stomach was about to empty out onto the pavement around her. Miko instantly went into a barking frenzy, refusing to hold back her own excitement or possibly fear. “Miko! Here!” She gave a firm command, and for a moment, the black dog looked as if she would refuse but second thought it. She backed up on her feet a few times before turning around completely and running to stand beside Yuki.
It crawled up a bit more, and Yuki could instantly see inside its eyes the lust of violence that it had been consumed with. She didn’t bother talking to it, there was really no point. Something with that look just can’t be tamed, it was absolutely pointless. Yuki pulled her jacket off and tossed it off to the side. That revealed the black t-shirt she had been wearing it under and the brown leather gun holster which she had altered in order to be carrying her Kusarigama. It was crawling down the front of the rubble and moving towards her, it hadn’t made any real sudden moves towards her but she was already anticipating it. Her hand moved to the holster and her fingers slowly pulled at the metal frame of it until she was now holding it, the long cord of it was still rested inside the holster with the skull crusher weighted inside. She raised a hand and softly rubbed her finger across her lower lip, as soon as her finger moved away, the outsider suddenly made its move. Its crawl turned to a stand and a charge towards her now on his back legs. She could smell it, the disgusting smell of rotted flesh and nauseating puss that was seeping from his flesh was indescribable as she backed up, she heard Miko give a soft yelp before she scattered off to the rubble again, ducking inside a hole within the pile of concrete slabs where she was hoping she would remain safe and could still keep her brown eyes focused on Yuki. Yuki already knew the rules of this game; you don’t let them touch you. You don’t let them bite or scratch you. It was just like in the movies, if she were human, vampire or a werebeast she would become infected and subsequently be subjected to becoming a beast filled with lust for simply blood and violence.
This wasn’t going to be much of a fight unfortunately; they weren’t that great for fighting at all. They simply ran at you like mindless droids and didn’t take into advantage the strategic of combat and avoiding attacks. There purpose was to eat and kill so if they died they didn’t care; pain wasn’t an issue for someone who didn’t feel it. Green eyes hardened, slowly there sparkling brilliance faded into something different, something dangerous and thought once loss forgotten with her memories was alive and well, that instinct to kill or be killed surfacing. The movements of her hands were quick. One hand pushed the Kusa forward so it hung as her free hand was handing the cord, pulling it out further into view. It was fluid, sudden twisting her wrist so that the Kusa began to spin, giving it more cord for slap, the radius got wider and wider until she felt it had gotten close enough. One hand held the cord firmly as she hunched down, bringing the spinning cord which hummed in the air as the Kusa sliced through the air and directly towards the throat of the outsider. She watched as the blade sliced against the flesh, but hadn’t cut through completely. Pitty, it meant she was going to have to get closer to finish the job. She leaned to the side as she released the Kusa from its spin towards the outside and it wrapped around its sliced throat. She didn’t push or pull, but she leaped, using her superhuman abilities to leap over its head as it reached out, trying to wrap its arms around her for a thick bite. “Don’t think so…” She said with a hiss as she landed behind, again, movements fluid almost as if this was second nature, as if she done this so many times it came without even thinking. Dropping the cord so she stepped on it, keeping it in place like a leashed dog, her hands came to the holster as the sound of thread being moved was heard.
She snapped out the assassin cord and whipped it behind herself catching the outsider just under the chin, a firm pull, and the cord sliced through the mush of flesh the outsider had. From the bottom of the chin through the skull at an angle. It was enough, the damage was done as she could hear the slush of brain and skull hitting the pavement in a loud thud. Yuki sighed. Now her weapons were dirty, and it had just started to snow again….
