Earlier than she had expected, Raed had awoken in the Mall. Now used as the werewolf base (at least Strike's pack) the mall had been slightly renovated to accomodate so many wolves. Raed had chosen a small corner in the back of a store and had made a basic nest out of large, furry coats that she had found in a store that an old woman would shop in. It was with a lot of strength that she managed to pull herself away from the cold furs and stand up, half naked. If she remembered correctly she had been practicing her 'turning' last night and had had barely enough energy to get dressed before she passed out.. That would explain the lack of clothing, at that point.
After she fully clothed herself in a pair of crudely made pants, a long sleeved shirt and a relatively heavy sweatshirt, Raed made her way out of the store. On the way to the entrance of the mall, she felt a few eyes fall upon her. She was still the newbie; still the pup. It would be years before she wasn't the youngest in the pack.. Or so she assumed. It almost annoyed her how weak she was compared to some of these other werewolves that roamed the deserted halls. A slight bit of shame always rose up in the pit of her stomach at the thought of losing a fight to someone who could easily tear her apart, limb from limb. This was a war zone that she had entered, and she came unprepared!? She still cursed herself daily for her own stupidity. Every morning she woke up wishing that she had thought to bring along her father's old hunting knives rather than nothing but the clothes upon her back.
As the late morning sun rose, Raed had already made her way through the city. Sneaking past people and avoiding conversation was not difficult at all and came quite naturally to her. She had stopped in an abandoned convenience store and managed to scrape together a make-shift meal of expired cornmeal and oats. It was disgusting, revolting, and she would've MUCH preferred the taste of raw meat but she couldn't exactly go hunting right now, not in the condition she was in. But, if she took that into consideration, she could NEVER hunt. She really was much too inexperienced for her own good... UGH.
After about an hour spent in the store she continued on and found herself facing a small, rather creepy playground. There were two working swings at some point but one of them now looked extremely hazardous (or as dangerous as a decrepit swing could be) and Raed felt her spine tingle as she watched the gentle breeze blow them back and forth.. Back and forth.. Backk and forthh. Moving forward, the porcelein skinned girl made her way over to the swing that looked like it was in stable enough condition and placed herself delicately upon it, testing her weight against its strength.
