The trek through the woods had been rather perilous. Uneven ground had caused Mikaela to slide and fall more times than she wanted to. She had thought holding onto the trees would help. However, they were also wet and slippery. Her fingers slid from the bark like her feet on the wet leaves.
Now upon entering the mall, the way through the city had been much easier. Even ground had been easier to walk on. The sun had peeked from above the horizon drying the pavement and ground. The few people that were out had given Mikaela odd looks. Dirty, filthy and a little frazzled, Mikaela looked like she should have stayed in her wolf form.
Mikaela entered the mall's door and stumbled in. Her eyes taking in the surroundings. She didn't see anybody, but her nose was overwhelmed by familiar scents. She walked further into the building and looked longingly at the clothing store on her right. The femme looked back at Connor with a small smile. There was only so much filth she could stand, besides being of the more feminine gender, she preferred to look that way, not rugged. She limped to the clothing store. She would only take a moment.
She found a teal tunic and leggings that would be easy to put on. Finding a corner, she eased out of her dirty jeans and Connor's jacket. She slid the tunic over her head and it landed loosely over her curvy figure. The leggings were easy to put on since they stretched and not fitted like denim jeans. After fixing her clothing situation, she ran her fingers through her hair. The loose waves became soft again and not matted together. She grabbed Connor's jacket off the ground, hoping Connor didn't mind that it smell slightly of lavender and vanilla, her choice of soap scent when she had the change. She hobbled back towards the doors of the store.
After a few minutes she went back into the public center of the mall. She glanced around looking for Connor, figuring he went for clothes too. She leaned against a wall and slid down. Landing with a light thump, she relaxed against the wall with a huge sigh. Muscles relaxed, no longer tensed with the threat of oncoming danger. She placed her head against the wall and it lulled to the side. She was just now realizing how tired and sore she was.
