Mikaela’s brown eyes watched as Connor gave her the layout of their track. She knew where the entrance was, but that was it. This was her second visit to the mall. She tried to figure out if she remembered anything when she came the first time. But she didn’t, she simply followed the strong scents to the second floor where she met everyone. And then this time, she made it to the entrance and then they traveled up here to the health store.
However, she didn’t think it would be too hard to navigate the store. She would simply follow Connor while they would race and once she saw the loading dock, she would speed ahead. It sounded simple enough. Not to mention, she did not really care if she even won the race. It seemed both outcomes would be a win for both her and Connor.
She wheeled over to Connor. The wheels of her chair bumped into the back of the right wheel of his. She giggled when the ridged rubber rubbed against each other making an odd noise. She backed up and turned a little. Her chair collided with the back of his. “We could just play bumper chairs too….” A light laugh left her lips as she backed up.
She rolled the chair into an empty space in the pathway. She spun her chair around swiftly, turning the medical aid chair into an amusement park ride. She erupted into a stream of giggles. After a few more spins, she stopped, looking quite dizzy. She laughed the entire time she tried to tell Connor her other idea, “We should spin like that, just to see how straight we could go…” Her breathing sped up to catch up on her breaths since she was still in a fit of laughter.
