Oh the dark night how she loved it so. Well granted if she went out during the day she would fry to a crisp and be no more but the thought had crossed her mind to see if she could get lit on fire and survive it if she got the flame out quick enough. Hell she probably would have done it if she liked being burned but it was a tough wound to heal and there was no way she was getting rid of her good looks. Chartreuse eyes scanned the street she was meandering on and found it empty. A slight pout crossed her red lips before turning to a grin that showed her fangs gleaming in the light of the moon. Her pale skin clashed with the blackness of both her hair and her clothes but the vampress hardly cared. Abby was the epitome of the hunter and she loved it.
Sniffing at the wind that blew down the street a laugh trickled from between her lips. Oh there was something delectable up in the rooms beside her. Glancing up the wall she didn’t see any lights on but that hardly mattered. Humans slept at night. Though that these ones were foolish enough to sleep outside their little base just made her night. She wound her way around the building to the fire escape and jumped up to get the bottom of the ladder. It wasn’t that far from the ground but it wasn’t in exact reach either. Pulling herself up she let her gothic buckle combat boots find the last rung and then started to climb. It wasn’t that hard of a climb really and she found her way to the first platform quickly. The smell wasn’t there and so she kept climbing.
Finally the smell got stronger on the fourth platform. They had probably thought they were safe that far up and using the outside steps then going through the front door. Really going through the front would have been safer. They could have spread their scent through every floor and at every door and confused any vampire looking for them. But they hadn’t been that smart. Trying the window Tabbatha found it slightly open and forced it open the rest of the way. Doing it slowly so as to not make too much sound. She grinned still as she slid in through the door her mini skirt not making it difficult at all. Course her corset did, whalebone didn’t bend easily no matter what people thought. The black on black with a touch of gray and silver made her look like a stereo typical vampire but she hardly cared. She was about to have a feast.
Walking through the rooms she found a couple laying in the bed. They were held in each others arms and it almost made her not want to disturb them. Actually that was a lie, it made her want to jump them and suck them dry even more. Walking to the side of the bed she thought. In order to have two she would have to get them so they couldn’t move while she fed on one. The other would surely try to run away. She looked around and saw robes hanging on the back of the door. They had been living there for a while it seemed. She tuck the ties from them and tied them to the wrists of both of them and then to the poles on their bed. They weren’t tight yet but once they struggled and tried to get free they would be. No to wake them up. Abby thumped her hand against the wall next to the bed and the two woke up pulling on the ties just as she thought they would.
The ties tightened around their wrists and they screamed. “Oh yes lovelies scream.” She said and decended on the woman first. She bit down on her neck close to the shoulder and started to drink. Her throat worked the blood down into her body and she purred against the flesh. Good blood was so hard to find these days with the humans all in hiding. She drank and drank from the woman until she felt her go still in her hands and felt her heart start to stop against her hand she had wrapped around her. One last shuddering breath and the woman died but Tabbatha’s bloodlust was not gone. Releasing the woman she licked her lips and got the last bit of blood from her before moving around the bed and to the man. “Don’t worry precious I hadn’t forgotten about you.” She cooed and laid next to him pressing her body to his.
With a smile that held an evil light she moved down his body to rub her cheek against other regions while she lifted the bottom of his shorts. He reacted and she used that surprise to lash into his thigh. He screamed and she wasn’t fully sure it was just from pain but it hardly mattered. Drinking him down she felt herself start to actually feel full. Just as she felt his body shudder with one last breath her body protested and told the vampress she had had plenty to eat. Releasing his leg she looked up at him. They were both dead and she didn’t feel a thing besides sated. Licking the blood from her lips she moved back through the room and back out the window. No one would miss them of that she was sure. Going back down the fire escape once she reached the bottom platform she jumped to the cement below and landed on the balls of her feet and the tips of her fingers.
Standing she started to hum and made her way back the way she had been going before she had gotten so distracted. Now red eyes scanned the area looking for anything moving. She wasn’t sure she would find anything but Abby wasn’t about to just go and spend the night with the angels. She wasn’t one to just spend the night inside, she was already forced to do that with the day and that got boring and annoying fast. “Oh is there anyone to entertain me?” she asked the empty night. She already knew the answer, no. But she really wished someone would at least try.
