Vaan had opened his eyes but it had seemed like only moments had passed since he had gone into the ground to sleep. He could tell by the burning feeling in his gut it had been much longer then a day, or even a week. His thoughts swirled but he smelled the death and decay around him that was Worshire Asylum. He listened to the sounds of scurrying around him. “Rats.” He pushed open his coffin into the night air and the light from the moon and stars. His hands were thin and gaunt as if his body had dried into little more then a husk. “It's been quite some time.” He mumbled quietly to himself. The air was fresh as he had kept his coffin up in one of the old rooms which had lost parts of the wall. He knew there was a chance for him to be killed while he slumbered but he always enjoyed the fresh air better then the stale lifeless musk that was a constant smell in the lower rooms. He had dim memories of what had a done before going to sleep. “Vlad... yes I had been with Vlad. Arrogant bastard, Huh I wonder where he is now?”
He was suddenly aware of something pulling at his sense of hearing. He paused and started to focus in on it. “Hey do you think it was smart coming here at night? I know that Vampires used to hang around here.” Vaan normally didn't like feeding from humans but his hunger was so powerful he just couldn't say no to it. He walked over the hole in the floor which he could see two men below him. One was armed with a bat the other looked like he had a small knife. Reaching for his hat Vaan found his throwing daggers and then felt the cold metal against his arms of his father's twin daggers. It had been some time since he had any reason to think of his late father which only brought back his hatred of the angels. “Curse them.” He whispered barely loud enough for his own ears to hear him let alone the two mortals below. He climbed out through a hole in the ceiling which was the only way in or out and quietly walked along the rooftop. He only moved when he heard the humans doing so. Making his footsteps echo while the human\s had not quite stopped yet. He started to slow a bit so the humans would hear a odd echo to their footsteps. Just to set their nerves up a bit and get the adrenaline pumping into the bloodstream.
