.) When creating a biography and you want to post what you have up in a thread, but are unfinished , simply put (WIP) right after their name in the title/subject of the thread. WIP means Work In Progress. When you are finally finished, simply modify the bio and delete that (WIP) from the title. Then someone will see and check your info.
.) When posting, it is best to join threads rather than create your own. By joining, you surprise and interest other members. Once you get a feel for the members on the site, then create new threads and people will recognize you, thus replying to you. Note: Make sure the thread you join is an Open thread!
.) It’s tricky being the new person on the site, the best you can do is hold your head up high and keep excited about joining in the fun. Keeping your humor up is a great trait around here.
.) Its hard staying active when you really don’t know a site yet. No one knows you and you don’t know them. Now and then you’ll feel that slide and drift away from the site. The best thing you can do is ignore that feeling and login anyways, even if it is just to chat in cbox a little. But if you haven’t made a post in several days, it’s always a good idea to give yourself that extra little nudge.
.) Around here, we like the conflict. Not just physical between characters, but internal character conflict. We love making new things happen to make characters run into obstacles. Remember, this kind of RP isn’t just about being strong and powerful, it’s also about developing your character and getting creative. Don’t worry about posting how strong or smart they are, worry about how they see the world, how they react to what is around them and why they see and react that way.
.) I know it’s a lot to read, but it is vital to read all the background information of the site. Everyone here is so easily intertwined, and we play off prior plots deeply. If you do not understand what has or is going on in the site, it will be obvious and cause you problems later on with other members.
If anyone has anything else they think should be added here, by all means, PM an admin with what you think should be added. If it is agreed it is important and a good addition, it will be added.
