For many years, the once fair city lay in ruins. As the dimensions merged, plant life and natural disasters broke through the walls and created waste. Even after the collapse of the Angel base, the city took in more damage. The bomb meant to collapse the rifts traveled in a most unexpected manner. The energy of the explosion hit the outer layer, destroying, what seemed, the largest chunk of the city. The shift having also contributed to new placement of areas. This became the River Lands. Below the watery surface, a portion of city ruins sleep within its grave, no longer relevant to the residents that once traveled its active streets.
The remainder of city proved useful yet. With the oncoming years, surviving residents took it unto themselves to rebuild. Many had been lost in the war, and survival instinct kicked in. The races no longer fought during this time, not within their walls. Upon common consensus and as the original bases of the races rebuilt, jobs were formed to help protect everything they worked for.
Patrol Guards were created, as volunteers only at first. They roamed the city, day and night, watching for any unruly behavior. First strike, they were offered to leave the city. Second, they forced them to leave the city. Thirdly, if one still did not comply, they took extreme action and terminated the threat. Patrol Guards became the newest police force, a collaboration of the races to keep peace. Then walls began to be built. As the city expanded and required more coverage in protection, more were hired on and it became a combination of volunteers and permanent staff. Stations were made all around the main wall where guards faithfully stand watch for any incoming traffic. Upon completion of the wall, only one entrance was available for use. Though as the years moved on, Outsiders and other creatures worked at the walls and made small holes. There are always attempts to cover these holes and build over.
In the earlier stages of the rebuild period, inhabitants began to travel outward, exploring for other nearby surviving homes. Much information was received by these explorers and even led to communications with other surviving cultures. In fact, it was where the idea of Plasma became known. Another city had founded the nutrients source for vampires from local creatures and shared the information.
Now, though a chunk of the city still remains in ruins, a grand portion is recovered or being recovered. Homes were rebuilt and redesigned and the streets looking cleaner. Though no one has successfully been able to fully rid of the plant life vising the cold stone. It seems to no longer cause damage however, only exist. Old military mobiles that had spotted the streets have mostly been relocated, some even finding places along the city wall. Even though they no longer work, they still act as very good protection.
