Careful and usually quite shy, River was not usually so open. Yet here he was, swimming in the pool of water...naked. It was just that kind of a moment. He had needed a good wash and the water felt so cool on his toes that, well, he sort of undressed and dived in. He was currently scrubbing his discarded clothes as quickly as possible. All he wanted to do was explore the waterfall. He felt childish for being so impatient with his chores but the water was too beautiful to resist.
He was named river for a reason. At a youthful age he had always had an affinity with water. He was the first in his group to learn how to swim and ended up being the best at it. Dominic had told him, when he had been younger, that his soul flowed like water. It was the first time anyone had ever told him he could have a soul. It was not common for goldenbloods to fall into the usual human need to have faith in something but River had never been the best of goldenblood pupils.
Successfully scrubbing his clothing clean he laid it out to dry in the sun and dived deeper into the pool. submerged, he tried to get his bearings but the water seemed to deepen the farther he explored. The thought only invigorated River. What a mysterious place this was. He moved about, closing his eyes to feel the water about him. He felt like he was wrapped in a cool embrace. He felt at home and in peace.
He brushed up against a rock and opened his eyes. He was closer to the waterfall. Kicking his way up he burst through the top of the water and flipped his dark hair back and out of his eyes. Taking a deep breathe he surveyed the wonder and it was truly a magnificent sight. He could not see how it could be part of the old world Dominic had spoken about. He was not told about this place in his studies so he assumed it had come with a space shift. It was welcome in his opinion. What a wonderful area-
There was a splash near him. Treading waiter he looked about calmly, not allowing himself to panic without reason. It was probably just an animal or a rock or something. It was most likely just a splash from the waterfall even. Still, River no longer felt alone. He had no problem with company but seeing as how he was naked, he did not want to offend or run into anyone. That would probably not be good.
"hello?" he called out curiously. It had been a while since he had spoken and his voice came out rather shaky and raggedy. He was not scared though. He could use some good interaction. Though he rather he was dressed. Quietly he headed to where his clothes lay in the sun.
