Name: Shayla Hatathli
Nick Name: Shay
Race: Werewolf
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Appearance: Her birth mother being from Navajo descent and her father Irish, her appearance is uncommon. Her skin is a golden brown from many days spent outdoors. Her eyes are so dark brown that at first glance, appear black. Her hair always hangs loosely about her shoulders and is usually adorned with small braids and beads, a custom that she inherited from her mother at an early age. The bridge of her nose is scattered with freckles, which is a clear indicator of her Irish blood.
She stands at 5'3" but she's never really had a problem with her small size. What she lacks in height, she makes up for in attitude. She is often described as having a 'baby-face' which makes her appear younger than her eighteen years of age.
She dresses rather boyish, despite her feminine face, with her ever-muddy combat boots, ripped jeans, and oversized green flannel.
In her wolf form, her fur is a silver grey with flecks of white and brown. Her eyes become a startling green that seems to glow at night. Similar to her human form, she is a small adolescent wolf that still slightly resembles a pup.
Weapon: A small pocketknife she keeps hidden inside her boot.
History: Shay was raised solely by her mother, Mariya Hatathli, a strict and stone-faced woman that never tolerated disobedience. The Alpha wolf of her pack, Mariya trained her daughter from a very young age in order for Shay to become a loyal member of their pack. Although, it wasn't an easy job.
It was always somewhat of a mystery how the cool and collected Mariya gave birth to such a carefree troublemaker like Shay. Even at the age of four, Shay was causing chaos by playing pranks on pack members and starting fights with other children. Even though Mariya was at her wit's end because of her child, she was still a very loving and ever-present parent, which was most-likely the reason Shay was never bothered to ask about her missing father.
Her pack was always known to be elusive and remained relatively untouched by the Great Wars that raged around them. Being surrounded by mostly desert, the Navajo wolfpack lived a life of solitude from the rest of the world. The pack actually preferred the post-apocalyptic times, as it was easier to get back in touch with nature. Growing up, Shay was told stories about the world outside of the desert and it seemed so foreign to her young mind. Nevertheless, it fascinated her to the point that it was inevitable that she would break away from the pack in order to satisfy her curiosity.
So, with that in mind, she set her eyes northeast and after many months found herself in New York.
Personality: Shay has a strong sense of right and wrong. She is simple to please and hates to be dependent on anyone. Always a hardworking individual, she strives to please and is very optimistic in even the most bleak of situations. Shay is very in tune with nature and isn't quick to judge a type of situation based on what she sees. She is very adventurous and her curiosity has gotten her into more trouble than she is willing to admit. At times, she can be very stubborn and has more pride than she knows what to do with, but she's always quick to smile.
