Name:
Scarlet Poppy Hunter
Nick Name:
Scarlet (or Scar, which she personally prefers to be called, but few call her such… she is too stubborn to tell them she’d rather be called Scar)
Race:
Superhuman – born
Gender:
Female
Age:
14, but appears and acts 16 or 17
Appearance:
5”7; slender build’ doesn’t look like she has much muscle, but has unnatural strength, agility, and grace… straight, dark-colored hair cut to her shoulders… skin is pale, traces of tan on arms and face
Weapon:
None that are her own, but she is highly skilled in bows and daggers. Others that she are not as skilled in, but still wields with deadly grace, include just about every weapon known to her kind. She also knows how to fight with her fists. Her fighting style is of grace, speed, and endurance.
History:
Scarlet's parents moved before she was born, hoping that they could raise thier child in New York, closer to the remaining human population. She has been watched and tested yearly by the government, as a Superhuman child, ever since she was born, and probably before she was born. Upon reaching the age of eight, she was diagnosed with chronic depression. Since then, she has been monitored carefully and given extreme care. To no avail. The older she got, the more she felt as though she were merely an empty shell. When she was about 12, her family moved underground, along with many other humans. She was confused, and a small spark of curiosity lit in her mind. About three weeks after being holed up underground, she snuck back to the surface to see what was happening. She was met with horrible sights: dead bodies here and there, splatters of blood all over the streets, some still drying. She stared for a long time, and then solemnly went back down underground before anyone had noticed her absense. She didn't know it, but she'd seen just a glimpse of the apocalypse that was gripping the world around her. For the last two years, she has been pretending that she had never been above the surface, continuing to live with her parents, continuing to live her passionless life underground.
- Extras-
Personality:
She trusts just about nobody, and believes that she is not a person, but a mere tool created by the government, and that there is no real meaning to her being alive other than to do what they bid her. This brings burning resentment to how she sees everyone. Her parents, who chose to have her injected before she was born, had wanted it so that she could stand up for what was right. But, as far as Scarlet sees it, they only wanted her to be able to stand up for what they want and what they believe in.
Because of Scarlet’s depression, she is often melancholy or resentful. She is stubborn, dignified, hates to be oppressed, and trusts almost no one. Scarlet finds little or no beauty in the world. Under the depression, however, she is a caring, loving girl, with a curious and quick-learning mind, and who will die for what she loves. The problem, as it is, is that she loves nothing.
Education:
She was given a lot of practice with basic math, and she still spends time learning science (physics, some biology, and basic chemistry), which they (the human government), believe is important for the young Superhumans to know. Of course she was taught by great masters the arts of fighting and using all kinds of weapons. She is especially skilled with the bow and daggers.
Threads:
Emergence (Status: Completed)
nothing for me here (Status: In Progress)
Pictures:
Scarlet, with her usual quiet, solemn face.
This is what Sarlet would look like if she was to ever wear a dress. (Very unlikly, but possible in the future)
