Name: Raed Nott
Nick Name: Raed; Rae
Race: Werewolf
Gender: Female
Age: Seventeen
Appearance: Shoulder length bright red hair; crystal blue eyes; button nose; small face; 5'4"; thin lips; high cheekbones; slim figure; small frame; too skinny.
Weapon: None
History: October 7th. The day of Raed's birth was marked by the death of her mother. Childbirth could do that to women who weren't or aren't strong enough to carry through the excruciating process of bringing life into the world. The name of this woman who died to give Raed life was never revealed to her and she never sought it out from her father. It simply wasn't something that she needed to know. From a very young age Raed and her father lived north of Quebec in the dry Canadian territories. The term 'lived' implies a home and a stable supply of food and therefore does not classify their way of life. They slept in a tent, drank from creeks and were forced to find their own food. It was rare for them to venture into normal society where everyone was so intent on keeping themselves busy that they couldn't even notice the world around them. Richard, her father, was very into the whole 'nature is power' thing. He was a modern day hippie, so to speak. It was thus how Raed grew up learning all about nature from plants to animals to the ways of life. She had a great respect for all of these things and could distinguish any sort of plant from another.
It was her eleventh birthday when Raed was bitten. Tragic, really. The lone wolf had come out of nowhere when she and her father were hiking and it attacked them, leaving him scarred and weak and her a turned werewolf. Only a few hours later her father died and Raed was left alone in the world, young and confused as well as a new race. Raed, having lived in the Canadian wilderness her whole life, was not aware that there were many more of her kind in the world and she because isolated, alone. At her first moon she ran wild throughout the mountains, crazed. The young girl woke the next morning to find herself cut and bruised and sore, hardly remembering her ordeal from the night before. It took several years, 5 to be exact, before she began to learn how to control herself even slightly. She slowly learned of the wars that were going down in New York and something in her convinced her to make her way there. It was thus how she found herself in the city of ruins. She arrived when she was about sixteen and a few months and before she found the courage to enter the city she found herself living on the outskirts, trying to gather information on what was going on inside. Through several insights she learned of the two different packs, how there were other races as well. It took her months before she finally entered the city, by which time she was already seventeen. She immediately found her way to the Mall which she had heard housed the pack of werewolves that most suited her interests. It was odd for Raed to wish to belong to a pack for she had never yearned for any sort of companionship. On the contrary, she rather resented being too close with others. But if a pack was what she needed to stay safe and learn how to better control herself, a pack is what she would get.
