Hey all,
So apparently the only thing that Probaoards Support could tell me to do to get our “Switch” setup for the accounts (located in the welcome table under the banner), was to use an icon proboards installed.
Say whaaa?
Apparently there really is one. At the bottom right corner of the site is three icons just floating there. The left most is the switch account link.
Problem 1: You can only switch accounts that are connected to your global account via the same e-mail.
Problem 2: Since in the previous versions of proboards we needed a new e-mail for every account created, you cannot have the same global account for all.
Problem 3: It is a pain in the a$$ to fix.
Lucky all of you I had to do it myself so I figured it out. Here’s a step by step on how to combine all of your accounts into the same “global account” just so you can use the bloody switch tool.
1.) Log into the account you are looking to switch over.
2.) Click Profile in the left side menu.
3.) Click Edit Profile (it is a grey button on the right of your profile info).
4.) Click the Personal tab. Click Edit next to Email.
5.) This brings you to a whole new page. Third option up “Unlink Forum Account” and click Unlink. Doing this will unlink that account from the ‘global account’ you had it under.
6.) Go back to the WVRP website and login once more. This will take you back through the process of “reregistering” for a global account.
7.) When it asks for your e-mail, CHANGE the email to the one you wish to use as your global account! I for example use the WVRP e-mail for all of my accounts now as well as the design websites we take codes from.
With all of these accounts connected, it makes switching that much easier.
Any questions, please message me how you see fit.
