The ebony wolf had risen from his spot in the alley. Silver orbs revealing his feral mindset. Aggression glazed over his eyes. A growl ripped through his throat. White fangs were bared and visible in the moonlight. Black hair raised along his back, like most canines when they were angry or threatened. His jaws snapped viciously, threatening the female wolf that stood before him. He was going to put her in her place and was not afraid to do it roughly.
However, the female wolf that stood before him was not going to give in just because the beta snarled and snapped at her. Those brown eyes of hers burned for revenge for Jerome trying to put her down. The sounds of snaps and snarls from her throat were just as loud and demanding. This wolf was not going to back down.
Celestina’s fur bristled along her back. The strands stood straight along the backbone of the she-wolf. She outstretched her paw with each step she took in her stalking motion. She circled like a bird of prey, though Jerome could hardly be compared to the prey of a bird. The beta of the pack earned that position for a reason.
Another rough growl ripped through her throat towards Jerome. She wasn’t going to back down. The pacing ceased. Muscles tensed as she held her ground. The brown hued wolf eased forward on her front paws. She slinked forward, towards the ebony wolf. She halted a few yards away from the male wolf. Lips were still pulled back, revealing her white canines. The growls became low and constant. It was a reminder that if Jerome didn’t act first, she would.
The human Celestina had been pushed from the mind of the single being. The wolf had completely taken over the body. Being suppressed for long amounts of time had only made the wolf angrier, less likely to listen to rational thinking and reasoning. No, the wolf had been counting down the minutes since she was suppressed the morning after the last night of the full moon. The wolf was ready to lash out at anything with so much anger coursing through its veins.
