Jake stumbled through the forest, he had left the roads behind a while ago for fear of coming across something. His bright blue-silver eyes stared in every direction at once. His harsh breaths came out as steam- frosting the edge of the blanket that was tightly tied around his upper body. It was white, matching the colors of the snow. A very nice touch of camouflage. Although his pants were jeans covered in blood and dirt, soaked to approximately his knee, now frozen material that crunched slightly when his legs brushed together as he stumbled through brush and knee deep snow. They were visible beneath the blankets edge. His shoes black army style boots that barely made a noise with each footfall. They too were stained with blood and crusted with chunks of dirt.
His eyebrows twitched at hearing a noise from nearby, his head swiveling in that general direction. Eyes squinting to see through the pitch of black night. The partial moon in the sky barely giving off enough light to glimmer against the snow.
He buried his face into the blanket momentarily, feeling the warmth radiating against his face. Bright blue- almost white colored eyes stared up at him from the white cocoon around the two.
"We're almost home baby girl.." He cooed to her softly, kissing her forehead lightly before stopping in his tracks.
Another crunching noise not far off distracted him from his hidden baby. His whole body froze where it was unable to move. He could sense something was near. Although it had been almost a week since his last meal and longer since the last time he slept, his mind was constantly playing tricks on him. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up. Had he been in either of his wolven forms, the fir all down his spine would be standing up straight. He used his teeth to pull the blanket back over Trisha's head, his arms tied tightly to her small frame, cradling his unseen baby.
Jake didn't need arms to fight. He was much better with his legs anyway. You could kill someone easily with just legs if you had the know how. And Jake had been learning how to fight since he were a cub. The muscular mans tongue flickered out licking his lips, trying to dampen them with a dry mouth.
"Hello?" He whispered. Eyes could be felt watching him. But for all he knew it was paranoia. In the corner of his eyes he could see a blood soaked Aries stumbling toward him, her hand out.
"Jake, Jake Help me...." He could hear her murmuring, then blood dribbled from her mouth- rolling from her chin. He glanced at the ground at her feet, watching the blood change the snow to a crimson coloring.
'Just my imagination..' He reminded himself silently.
He once again ignored the hallucination, his mind trained on finding the unseen watcher.
